Everything we sell is a licensed Ayurvedic preparation intended to support general wellbeing. They are manufactured under drug licences issued by the Drugs Control Administration, Government of Kerala, at a GMP-certified unit — details on our Licences & Manufacturing page.
What they are not
They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Nothing on this website should be read as a claim that any product diagnoses, cures, mitigates, treats or prevents any disease. Where our pages describe what a formulation traditionally supports, that is a statement about traditional Ayurvedic use — not a medical claim and not a promise of any particular outcome.
We do not claim guaranteed results, permanent results, or freedom from side effects. No honest manufacturer can.
Please consult a qualified practitioner
Speak to a qualified Ayurvedic physician or your doctor before starting any of our products, and particularly if you:
- are taking prescription medication of any kind
- are managing an existing health condition
- are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding
- are due to have surgery
- are buying for a child or an elderly person
- have known allergies or sensitivities
Never stop or change prescribed treatment in order to use a product bought from us. If you want to use an Ayurvedic preparation alongside treatment your doctor has prescribed, tell your doctor what you are taking.
When to see a doctor rather than order from us
We would rather lose the sale. Please seek medical assessment if you have:
- a sudden, severe or unusual headache, or one with fever, stiff neck, confusion, weakness or vision changes
- a joint that is hot, visibly swollen or red, pain after an injury, or pain that wakes you at night
- a skin area that is spreading quickly, weeping, bleeding or painful rather than irritated
- any symptom that is steadily worsening week on week
Conditions like these need a diagnosis before anything is applied or taken.
External-use products
Several of our products are for external use only and are labelled as such. Do not take them internally. Patch test before first full use, avoid broken skin and the area around the eyes, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Individual results vary
Traditional Ayurvedic preparations are generally intended for consistent use over weeks or months, not for immediate effect. What suits one person may not suit another. Where we give a timeframe on a product page, it describes typical traditional use and is not a prediction about you.
Information on this website
The educational content on this site — articles, buying guides, FAQs — is general information about Ayurvedic practice and herbs. It is not personalised medical advice and should not be used to self-diagnose. Where we name a herb's traditional use, we are describing the Ayurvedic tradition, not making a clinical claim.
Reporting a problem
If you experience an adverse reaction to any product bought from us, stop using it and contact a doctor. Please also tell us at info@thathasthu.in with the product name and batch number so we can report it to the manufacturer and the relevant authority.
