Karmukhil Herbal Hair Oil - Wayanad Herbs, Complete Hair Solution
Karmukhil Herbal Hair Oil is a complete hair-care oil prepared with herbs from the hills of Wayanad — the high-rainfall belt of Kerala that has supplied Ayurvedic pharmacies with medicinal plants for centuries. It is registered as an Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicine.
It is made by Aswini Ayurvedic Pharmacy, a GMP-certified Ayurvedic manufacturer in Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad, and stocked by us. We are based in Ambalavayal — the same Wayanad district the herbs come from, about an hour from the unit that makes it.
Where a classical kadi oil targets the scalp, Karmukhil is built around the hair itself: how it looks, how it feels, and how it holds up to daily washing, heat and pollution. It is the oil to reach for when hair has gone limp, dull or damaged.
100% natural herbal ingredients. No synthetic colour, no artificial fragrance, no harmful chemicals.

Frequently asked questions
How is Karmukhil different from Vasabringamalakadi?
Karmukhil is for the hair — volume, shine, condition, damage. Vasabringamalakadi is for the scalp — flaking, dryness, discomfort. Pick by which bothers you more; some customers alternate between the two.
Should I buy the 100 ml or the 200 ml?
The 100 ml is right for trying it or for short hair. The 200 ml works out cheaper per ml and suits long hair or a household using it regularly.
What does "from the hills of Wayanad" mean?
Wayanad is the high-altitude, high-rainfall district of Kerala where many Ayurvedic medicinal plants grow best. The herbs in this oil are sourced from that belt — and it is where both the manufacturer and we are based.
Will it make my hair greasy?
Used in a small quantity it conditions without weighing hair down. It is an oil, so wash it out with a mild shampoo.
Is it safe for colour-treated hair?
It is a plant-based oil with no bleaching agents. If your hair is chemically treated, patch test and check with your stylist.
Who makes it, and who am I buying from?
It is manufactured by Aswini Ayurvedic Pharmacy in Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad, under Manufacturing Licence 10/25D/2018 and GMP Certificate No. 976. Thathasthu Herbals stocks and sells it. We are not the manufacturer of this particular product, and we say so — the licence details are printed on the pack and listed above.
